Privacy policy
AI Music Insights (aimusicinsights.com) is run by Northfrost Media, trading as AI Music Insider (Mark Draijer) ("we"). We're responsible for your personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Questions: support@aimusicinsider.com.
What we collect from you
- Account: your email address, and your name and profile photo if you sign in with Google. Used to log you in.
- Your preferences and artists: what you tell us when you set up (niche, what you make, how often you post) and the artists you add under My artists — names, handles, notes.
- What you create: your plans, your questions to Scout and Scout's answers, so you can come back to them and so new plans don't repeat old ones.
- Credits and plan: which plan you're on and how many credits you've used.
- Payments: handled entirely by Polar (our reseller, see below). We never see your card details; we only receive your subscription status.
- Technical data: a login cookie that keeps you signed in, and standard server logs (IP address, browser, time) kept briefly for security and errors. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies and no analytics tools.
Your own artists' data
If you add handles for your own artists, we look up their public TikTok, YouTube and Spotify numbers to analyse what works for you. That analysis is private to your account. An artist only enters our public database if you choose "Suggest" and we approve it.
Public data about AI artists
Our database is built from publicly available information about AI music artists: profile names, follower counts, public posts, views and streams on TikTok, YouTube and Spotify. We use it to show creators what works (our legitimate interest in providing music-market insights). If you're an artist in our database and want to be removed or corrected, email support@aimusicinsider.com and we'll handle it within 30 days.
Why we use your data (legal basis)
- To provide the service you signed up for — your account, plans, Scout, credits (contract).
- To keep the service secure and working (legitimate interest).
- To meet legal duties, such as tax records for payments (legal obligation — handled by Polar).
We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.
Who processes it for us
- Supabase — database and login.
- Vercel — hosting the website.
- Anthropic (Claude) — writes Scout's answers and your plans. It receives your question and the relevant data, and doesn't use it to train its models.
- Polar — payments, as Merchant of Record: Polar sells the subscription to you and handles VAT and invoices, under its own privacy policy.
- Resend — sends login emails.
- Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google.
Some of these companies process data outside the EU (mainly in the US). Where they do, they use the EU's approved safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework).
How long we keep it
As long as you have an account. When you delete your account (email us), we delete your data within 30 days, except what the law requires us to keep.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Email support@aimusicinsider.com; we reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the Dutch data protection authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or the authority in your own country.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll tell you by email or on the site before it applies.
